Acquisitions
Significant M&A deal experience, with both large and small, mergers and takeovers, both as sponsor, corporate finance advisor and originator. Provided senior advisory to Innvidir’s co-acquisition of Mila with Ardian in 2022. Current projects includes specific mandates for international funds.
Merger Integration
An extensive merger integration experience involving both a complicated merger of equals as well as smaller takeovers. Merger and integration projects include Vodafone Iceland’s acquisition of 365 media in 2017, Islandsbanki’s acquisition Audur Capital’s pension portfolio in 2013 and BYR Management Company in 2011.
Strategy Implementation
Leading strategy work and implementation for more than a decade in different roles; as an Advisor, Chairman, CEO and Managing Director at Islandsbanki. Recent advisory for clients such as Icelandic Industries, Klak Icelandic Startups, Icelandic National Hospital R&D and Icelandic Symphony Orchestra.
Venture Development
Track Record in greenfield business building in various roles includes: North Ranga, North Ventures (data center development), FÓLK Reykjavik (design products), Reykjavik DC (tier 3 data center), 101 Radio /Sambandid (radio/tv/mvno), Sendafelagid (telco tower company), Summa (management company), Fast1 (real estate fund).
Alternative Investments
Strong track in developing and closing alternative investment funds, both real estate & private equity as Managing Director of Islandsbanki’s Investment Management. New alternative investments revenue stream was instrumental in delivering 38% F&CI growth from 2011-2014.

Extensive industry experience and knowledge of telecoms & infrastructure, data centers, banking, investment management, corporate finance and capital markets as well as related industries.
Board Level Roles
A decade long experience working as Chairman, Board Member, CEO, MD in current and past roles, both in Iceland and abroad. Currently on the Boards of Islandsbanki, Isavia ANS (Iceland’s Airport Navigation), FÓLK Reykjavik (sustainably focused design brand) and own ventures. Chairman of VBM CSD from 2019-2024 and FÓLK from 2019-2022. Chairman role for VBM and FÓLK Reykjavik involved raising venture capital.
International Work
Diverse types of work includes corporate finance in Denmark, leading strategic development projects with international investment banks advisors in Islandsbanki, board work in Luxembourg, CEO level collaboration with Vodafone Group and international expansion efforts of FÓLK Reykjavik and VBM CSD.
Managing Disruption
Extensive management experience tackling severe disruptions of revenue streams and business models from Telecom and Investment Management. Both cases involved focusing on cost efficiency while building new products and revenue streams, under fierce competition in the Telecom industry and during financial crisis in Investment Management industry from 2008.
Crisis Management
Experience includes taking over as MD of investment management days after a major banking system collapse, and taking over as a CEO of a Telco, shortly after a hacking incident, with successful turnaround of both situations. Further experience involves advisory in the field as a co-founder and manager of a PR company.
